Commitment and scope
Bacland Limited is committed to fair treatment in recruitment, work allocation, pay, training, subcontractor selection and the services we provide, including the letting of homes.
This policy applies to the Director, workers, subcontractors and anyone acting for the business, including in their dealings with residents, tenants, applicants, clients and visitors.
Equal treatment
We do not discriminate on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation. Direct or indirect discrimination, harassment and victimisation are not tolerated.
Decisions about housing and services use relevant, lawful criteria applied consistently to everyone.
Recruitment and work
We set objective criteria based on the work and assess competence against them, and keep enough record of decisions to allow review. Everyone has fair access to induction, training, suitable equipment and development.
Language, images and conduct on site must respect colleagues and residents. Discriminatory abuse is not tolerated.
Reasonable adjustments
Anyone can tell us about access or communication needs by email (contact@baclands.co.uk), phone (020 7096 9989) or post, without having to give unnecessary medical information. We consider reasonable adjustments to recruitment, working arrangements, site visits, meetings and communications.
Agreed adjustments are recorded with who is responsible for them, sensitive information is kept restricted, and we check that the adjustments work.
Raising a concern
Contact the Director at contact@baclands.co.uk or by confidential post to 1 Albion Place, London W6 0QT. Concerns are investigated promptly and fairly, information is shared only with those who need it, and no one will be victimised for raising a concern.
If the Director is implicated, an independent external investigator is appointed. This procedure does not limit anyone's statutory rights.
Responsibility and review
The Director briefs staff and subcontractors, reviews complaints and work decisions for patterns, and records corrective action. Serious breaches may lead to disciplinary action or termination of contract.
Approved by the Director on 11 October 2026. Reviewed annually (next review October 2027) and after any significant complaint or change in services.
